This role is an excellent opportunity for a Technical Sales Executive to join our equipment engineering department. The successful candidate will be involved in generating orders of highly specialised equipment within the pharma and biotechnology industries. Seeking applications from ambitious individuals who are comfortable in a start-up environment.
What you will be doing:
Support the Managing Director and department objective of growing the business in the UK and Irish Markets.
Generate new business via traditional and innovative sales approach
Manage the sales pipeline and drive business development
Coordinate global customer pricing versus market to recommend best approach for long term success.
Directly support assigned customer base globally to meet/exceed annual sales objectives.
Lead long-term planning on customer forecasting and contribute to the overall business strategy.
Execute regional/international strategy and business plans
Collect market/competitive benchmark data and regularly review with management team(s)
Attend and support Irish and UK tradeshows schedule.
Act as stakeholder for strategic accounts driving process improvements and higher levels of customer affinity.
Prepare required sales documentation (e.g., trip reports, proposals/quotations).
What you need to apply:
Communication skills - must be able to present complex technical data, both orally and in writing, in concise terms.
Strong Negotiator
Adaptable and can work on own initiative
Educated to Level 6 in a science or engineering subject
A proven track record of building relationships internally and externally
A track record of consistently delivering against financial and business objectives
Demonstrated understanding of the interaction of marketing, finance, operations, logistics and customer relations at every level of the organization
Previous experience of technical sales is advantageous
