- Team Horizon is seeking a Software Engineer to work at our client’s site in Galway, assisting the Equipment Engineering department to deliver equipment and systems solutions through strategic partnerships and technical knowledge to enable and support the success of our client.
Independently or as member of a team you will be tasked to develop specifications, designs, plans, and develop complex manufacturing and test equipment, which is used in the development and production of medical devices.

What you will be doing:
Develop robust, flexible, reusable, efficient and scalable manufacturing applications.
Database design, development, monitoring and script authoring.
Contribute to all phases of software development including design, implementation, unit test, integration, release, and validation support.
Provide software input on design changes for new and existing systems aligning machine functionality to customer requirements.
Commission, test, troubleshoot and support existing and new manufacturing equipment.
Generates quotations, concepts and business cases for new and upgrade equipment.
Determines Project schedules and works with team and other departments across the plant to ensure adherence.
Drafts and Review Design and Compliance Quality system documentation.
Write detailed functional design requirements
And all other duties assigned.
What you need to apply:
Job Required Skills: VB.Net, C#.
SQL Server script authoring using TSQL programming/Database Design.
PC Build and troubleshooting skills.
Basic understanding of machine I/O. Job Extended Skills.
Visual Basic 6.
Vision Development or experience advantage.
Motion Control advantageous.
Web application development.
Software change management.
