Operations Accountant – Team Horizon

 

Team Horizon currently has an exciting opening for an Operations Accountant for our client who are a global leader in the Biopharmaceutical Industry. You will be responsible for all financial affairs of the site. The primary objective is to plan, control, administer, interpret, and report the financial affairs, both to management at local level and division.

What you will bedoing:



  • Ensure that monthly accounts are completed and reviewed within a pre-determined schedule.


  • Preparation of all Plan, Update, LBEs and LRP for review by Plant Controller and Site Director.


  • Produce monthly balance sheet reconciliations.


  • Responsible for compiling Standard Costs for all products.


  • Manage and reconcile annual physical inventory.


  • Ensure monthly accounts comply with all policies and procedures including Sarbanes – Oxley requirements.87


  • Presentation of financial and non-financial training within initial induction process.


  • Project Evaluation – involves the continuous update and review of projects to assist the Site Director and Plant Controller in accurate decision-making.


  • Technical Activities – provide advice and information to all employees on accounting issues.


  • Variance Analysis – review of monthly management accounts to ensure accuracy and reasonableness; identify any deviations from Plan, Update or LBE thereby enabling corrective action to be taken if necessary.


  • Working with the plant to ensure Plan, Update and LBEs are achieved.


  • Project Management - ensure projects are running in line with expectations


  • Adheres to and supports all Finance, HR and EHS & E standards, procedures, and policies


 

What you need to apply:



  • Qualified Accountant – ACCA, ACA or ACMA essential


  • Previous experience in a Manufacturing/Pharma environment an advantage.


  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a financial/accounting position.


  • A high level of attention to detail and mental concentration, to always ensure accuracy and total compliance with financial procedures.


  • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to new regulatory requirements.


  • Strong interpersonal skills are required.
