- We have an exciting available for our client, a global pharmaceutical company at their facility in Dublin. You will be working within the Purchasing & Supplier Management (PSM) area, which provides sourcing direction to multiple functional areas within the company. Supporting the Purchasing Manager, looking after implementing, optimizing and making sure the delivery of approved category strategies at the site adheres to the overall strategy. Your goal is to coordinate support site spends and local suppliers to obtain the maximum value for the money spent measured through the delivery of cost savings.

What you will bedoing:
Working with the Purchasing Manager to optimize related areas of spend for procurement activities
Implementing short term and long-term cost reduction strategies established by management and securing financial / saving reports
Working with a high ethical standard, and ensuring compliance in agreement with corporate policies and the law
Developing supplier base to expand business, improve financials, reduce in-house / total costs, improve quality (customer satisfaction), customer relations, and on-time deliveries
Sourcing potential vendors
Recommending strategy: RFP / RFI / RFQ / Pricing Auction
Running local tenders, aligned with direction from Purchasing Manager and respective Category Manager
Developing and writing all sourcing event documents
Improve supplier service levels by integrating agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
Perform and collect due diligence information required for evaluating and approving new suppliers
Data analysis and administrative support for purchasing projects and supplier management (supplier metrics and research, master data, market basket analysis, pricing analysis, monthly/quarterly reporting of KPI’s, savings reporting)
What you need to apply:
Bachelor’s degree or 4 years equivalent work experience
Minimum of 3 years of procurement/negotiations experience in indirect purchasing preferably but not limited to Pharmaceutical.
Experience in purchasing preferred.
Strong MS Office skills
Experience with writing RFX’s
Strong experience conducting vendor negotiations.
Great team management communication skills
Robust project management ability
Relationship building skills
Full understanding of procurement processes as well as basic knowledge of indirect products and services used globally
Be a self-starter, able to work with minimal direction.
