- Team Horizon is seeking a Operational Excellence Specialist for our client based in Sligo.As the new OpEx Specialist, you will support the implementation of Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement programs throughout the organization. The job entails supporting internal teams including network change agents to identify opportunities that significantly reduce operating costs and improve efficiency.
Reporting to the OpEx Manager you will be joining a young and vibrant team and will have an opportunity to work with advanced technology and processes that help improve patient lives on a global scale.

What you will be doing:
Delivering continuous improvement initiatives throughout the company to meet service, quality and cost objectives.
Support excellence in the day-to-day management of the business through implementation and maintenance of daily management tools.
Support functional leadership and assigned teams with the development of both strategic project portfolios and detailed project plans.
Establish/maintain a network of change agents and be the focal point for continuous improvement expertise and troubleshooting within all support functions.
Apply the concepts, tools, and training techniques of Lean, Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma philosophies
Influence/motivate senior management to identify opportunities and apply Lean, Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma philosophies
Support/motivate project teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of projects.
Provide regular communication of project status to departmental staff and leadership.
Lead education and training, in partnership with the OpEx team
Presentation of technical data to stakeholders to ensure prompt decisions on training/learning and development in accordance with OpEx initiatives.
Comply with the EHS policy and procedures and demonstrate EHS best practices in all work activities
And any other duties as assigned.
What you need to apply:
3rd level qualification required (Bachelor’s degree desirable); preferred disciplines: Sciences, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or Business Management.
3-5 years’ job-related experience.
Lean Six Sigma Qualification is desirable.
Experience of working in a busy manufacturing environment is an advantage.
