Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP)

 

Team Horizon is seeking a Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) for a leading engineering company on a highway construction project in Cork.

•          Initially a 12 month contract however there is a high possibility that tis will extend as the project is due completion 2024/2025.

What you will be doing:

•          Lead role as PSDP specialist on a national road project with a construction value of at least €20 million (ex VAT).

•          Identify hazards arising from the design or from the technical, organisational, planning or time related aspects of the project.

•          Where possible, eliminate the hazards or reduce the risks.

•          Communicate necessary control measure, design assumptions or remaining risks to the PSCS so they can be dealt with in the safety and health plan;

•          Ensure that the work of designers is coordinated to ensure safety;

•          Organise co-operation between designers;

•          Prepare a written safety and health plan for any project where construction will take more than 500 person days or 30 working days or there is a particular risk and deliver it to the client prior to tender;

•          Prepare a safety file for the completed structure and give it to the client;

•          Notify the Authority and the client of non-compliance with any written directions issued.

And any other duties as assigned.


 

 

What you need to apply:

•          Hold a recognised Level 8 qualification in a civil engineering or related construction discipline and a Post Graduate qualification in Safety & Health.

•          MIn 7+ years experience in the role of PSDP for engineering projects.

•          Hold a post graduate qualification in Health & Safety.

•          Have at least 96 months experience in the role of PSDP for engineering projects.

•          Great interpersonal skills, including influencing and negotiation.

•          Excellent written and oral communication skills along with strong IT skills

•          Work on own initiative as well as part of a growing team
