Description
We are seeking applications for an experienced Project Manager Engineering Warehouse for our client, who are a leading biopharmaceutical company based in Athlone. The successful candidate will be looking after a capital project involving the design, construction, commissioning and qualification that supports a new investment for a GMP Warehouse. You will be responsible for the project management of overall scope, budget, schedule and quality delivery for the GMP Warehouse and to ensure the program is meeting the business, technical, and quality objectives as set out for the project. Reporting to the head of Global Engineering, you will collaborate closely with the site team of plan and execute the new GMP Warehouse project, including project approach and resource needs, options analysis, schedule, budget and ownership throughout the project delivery phases.

What you will be doing:



  • Preparing the project charter and project execution plan.


  • Planning and executing the multi-discipline capital project, including project approach and resource needs, options analysis, process and equipment design, engineering document development, and system ownership through the project delivery phases of plan, design, procure, construct, commission and qualification for the GMP Warehouse, to meet project’s scope, budget and schedule.


  • Making sure the business needs and priorities are clearly understood and that the project execution plan reflects the scope, cost and schedule of these needs and priorities.


  • Leading the project team through all project phases from design through to regulatory submission.


  • Complying with all policies, guidelines, and procedures.


  • Providing design and construction oversight and supervision.


  • Developing project controls (plan, schedule, risks) to ensure alignment of project timelines with business needs.


  • Working with project controls, finance and function leads to manage costs and cash flow according to the approved capital budget and report costs monthly to the steering team.


  • Communicating progress against plan on a regular basis and develop mitigations for project risks / delays.


  • Preparing monthly metrics on project performance, achievements, and statistics.


  • Working closely with other site functions to ensure a smooth transition between project and operational phases.


  • Co-ordinating between engineering consultants and contractors as required.


  • Maintaining a database of project benchmark data including costs, building areas and technology.


  • Ensuring project documentation is managed per the relevant SOPs  


 

What you need to apply:



  • Bachelor of Science in engineering or a related field


  • Proven Project Management experience working in the pharmaceutical / biotechnology industry leading capital projects through design, construction and commissioning phases.


  • Good computer skills and use of MS Office, Project, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.


  • Great verbal, written, analytical, and persuasive skills.


  • Strong interpersonal skills at all levels of employees and management.


  • Good organizational, administrative, and time-management skills.


  • Self-motivated and able to remain productive with little supervision or oversight.


  • Must be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills.


  • Must possess excellent technical judgment and use structured decision-making techniques.
