- Team Horizon is now recruiting for an Operations Accountant to work with our client in County Sligo. As a new Operations Accountant, you will have the opportunity to lead the sites projects and fixed assets costing in relation to new and existing products in conjunction with the company’s Global Costing Center of Excellence Team. You will be joining an established and talented team on site with a key focus to drive and establish new product indications to continue to drive business growth and proficiency.

What you will be doing:
Preparing journal vouchers to ensure the accounts are accurate on a monthly basis.
Provide input to plans/updates and LBE's for review by Plant Financial Controller and Site Director.
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Review and Maintenance of all RCE’s
Manage and reconcile annual physical inventory of assets.
Ensure monthly accounts comply with all policies and procedures including Sarbanes – Oxley requirements.
Provide Support to the Manufacturing Facility, participation in finance weekly meetings, and be aware of safety.
Project Evaluation – involves the continuous update and review of projects to assist the Plant Manager and Plant Financial Controller in accurate decision-making.
Technical Activities – Keep up to date on all accounting issues.
Variance Analysis – review of monthly management accounts to identify any deviations from Plan or Update thereby enabling corrective action to be taken if necessary.
And all other duties assigned.
What you need to apply:
Business qualification or Qualified Accountant – ACCA, ACA, ACMA.
A minimum of 3 years experience in a financial/accounting position
Requires a high level of attention to detail and mental concentration, to always ensure accuracy and total compliance with Financial Procedures.
Requires proven problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to new regulatory requirements.
Must be results driven striving to meet all targets and metric standards as set by department/site and division leaders.
Complete accurate balance sheet reconciliations for month end and year-end financial reporting.
Responsible for assisting with preparation of Annual Plan and LBE’s and revisions to same.
Ensure client is following all Financial Policies and Procedures.
Responsible for keeping up to date with any changes in regulations or legislation.
Ability to show a high level of tenacity to ensure closure of issues.
You will be self-motivated and work with a high level of autonomy reporting into the Plant Finance Manager.
