2634 - Environmental Validation Reliability Engineer

 

Team Horizon is seeking an Environmental Validation Reliability Engineer for our work on our client’s automotive manufacturing site in Galway.

What you will be doing:



  • RFQ Support analyse customer specifications (Newness) and impact for laboratory


  • Support collection FVS from all design metiers, participate in the product risk analysis and

    define the adapted validation plan to build the final offer.


  • Support defining the need of specific tools or bench (characterization, reliability..


  • Support defining the detailed validation plan including both customer validation but also the site

    risk analysis to cover the risk analysis


  • Support Design review 0 (DR0) : Prepare the inputs and participate


  • Capitalization & standardisation in projects up to SOP


  • Support defining the detailed validation plan including both customer validation but also site

    risk analysis to cover the risk analysis


  • Support the main relationship of the customer for product validations test plan and test

    methods


  • Support creation & maintains technical standards to capitalise the know-how covering his

    scope of ownership. (identify and create the test standards needed in order to demonstrate

    the robustness of the product)


  • Support capitalising the Lessons Learned (LLCs) in his standards to ensure a fast

    implementation in new projects.


  • Support to ensure that his standards are “easy to use” worldwide (easy to check, to

    understand, to access, to learn).


  • Participates to the standardisation committee (SC)


  • Participates to the technical committee (TC)


  • Support technical steering committee (TSC)


  • Participates to the Platform committee (ECU & CAM)


  • Support the Generation of VALRULES including reliability analysis and methods (and support

    standard definitions related with hot topics )


  • Technical training


  • Ensures that each of his standards are covered by a training module.


  • Develops & maintains the training modules covering his standards.


  • Support training to worldwide engineering teams (through a Technical Institute)

    Design Reviews


  • Prepare the inputs and participate.


  • Help define with the engineering teams the relevant RAISE action plan and track the progress.


  • Help assessing de-standardization requests issued by project teams.

    Continuous improvement & innovation


  • Ensures continuous improvement of standards through development of technologies &

    product functions, innovation and technology watch.


  • Secure designs at platform levels with simple and quick tests to check the failure mechanisms

    (related with hot topics below)


  • Support the building a roadmap to define/update mission profiles (Domain Controller)


  • Support system team on complex projects ( GM e.g.) for risk assessments and reliab

    demonstration.


  • Autonomous in training Reliab (as strength to break down prejudices regarding reliab

    engineering)


  • Support to engineering teams


  • Supports the engineering teams to solve difficult technical issues when needed.


  • Supports by participating to customer or supplier meetings when needed.


  • Promotes RAISE methodology and usage of standards. Develops team spirit with engineering

    teams.


  • Support engineering tests scope, technical planning and execution


 

What you need to apply:



  • Engineer with high experience in lab testing for automotive industry


  • Leadership to interface an international network


  • Capacity to interface a customer (communication, mindset, background)


  • Team spirit


  • 5 years of experience in the related engineering discipline in automotive engineering or

    relevant industries.


  • Experience in technical management / leadership of a team an advantage


  • Excellent knowledge in product validation and international environmental specifications


  • Skills to cooperate effectively in international and distributed development teams


  • Initiative, creativity, flexibility, goal-oriented approach and fluent English
