Team Horizon is seeking a EHS Engineer to work on our client’s pharmaceutical site in Mayo.

What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Assoc Director, Environmental Health and Safety, you will oversee EHS aspects of construction projects on site, as well as supporting Facilities/Maintenance activities and leading assigned technical EHS programs.
Create a strong “Zero Believe It, Achieve It. I Will” incident and injury-free safety culture.
Be the client EHS Lead on assigned construction projects, ensuring compliance, robust systems of work, and strong safety culture.
Support Facilities / Maintenance teams in ensuring comprehensive risk assessment and mitigation, safe systems of work and strong Engineer safety culture.
Lead a number of technical EHS programs on site, such as Contractor Safety Management, Permit to Work, Machinery Safety, LOTO, Electrical Safety, Work at Height, ATEX Compliance, Process Safety.
This role offers autonomy and ownership for assigned projects/programs, whilst having the support of an experienced EHS Team.
What you need to apply:
3rd level degree in Engineering, Science, Health & Safety, Environmental Science or similar (if primary degree is in Engineering/Science, then additional EHS focused qualification is preferred)
5 years + EHS experience in pharmaceutical / medical device industry
Self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal, communication, organization and decision-making skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously whilst maintaining close attention to detail
