2589 - Decommissioning and Qualification Engineer

 

Team Horizon is seeking a Decommissioning and Qualification Engineer to support our client’s pharmaceutical site in Cork. The Decommissioning and Qualification engineer will report to the Commissioning and Qualification lead and you will have overall responsibility for the decommissioning and qualification of the existing OSD production and requalification of relocated equipment.

 

 

What you will be doing:



  • Support the development and implementation of documentation pertaining to decommissioning, i.e., decommissioning protocols for processes and utilities.


  • Provide guidance for decommissioning of a production building in a phased approach.


  • Deliver strong technical solutions for the decommissioning of complex equipment/systems through sound engineering judgement and proactive teamworking.


  • Preparation of change control documentation on TrackWise System. Processing of documentation through the Change Control System and tracking of change management tasks for completion.


  • Work as a member of the project team to execute all decommissioning system/equipment close-out activities for the project. Liaise with Internal/External Engineering Personnel and contract maintenance providers in executing decommissioning activities for identified equipment/systems.


  • Support site with the decontamination of system/equipment, equipment/system relocation/removal, product removal, data archival and retrieval (hard and soft copy).


  • Support drawing walk downs (i.e., P&ID, GA Drawings, process flow diagrams (PFDs), specifications and layouts), as required to identify system closeout route.


  • Provide support to on site decommissioning strategies. Co-ordinate vendors and sub-contractors for completing site decommissioning activities.


  • Review, edit and organize documents in the preparation of a decommissioning project.


  • Provide regular updates to Management with various metric information on decommissioning activities.


  • SME in mechanical, electrical and pneumatic process and utility systems.


  • Knowledge of regulatory/code requirements to Irish, European and International Codes, Standards and Practices.


  • Monitor changing regulatory trends and maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements, guidelines, practices and industry standards as they pertain to decommissioning.


  • Comply with all Environment, Health, Safety, Security and Quality policies, procedures, work instructions and risk assessments and support the continuous improvement of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality on Site.
