- Team Horizon is seeking a Senior Microbiologist for our client’s site in Sligo. The successful candidate will be responsible for an effective microbiological service to the aseptic Anti-Drug Conjugate (ADC) plant ensuring that Microbiological procedures and requirements are met they will also ensure that Microbiological Laboratory is organized to carry out all routine required microbiological testing for manufactured products and Environmental monitoring (EM).

What you will be doing:
Lead, implement and overview of microbiological services to maintain and meet all requirements for aseptic processing and filling of ADCs
Overview the EM, process and personnel hygiene process
Responsible for execution of media fill runs
Responsible for Microbiological testing of finish product
Responsible for Microbiological monitoring of utilities
Understand Regulations and business processes required to and cGMP requirements for
Microbiological Laboratory standards and Data Integrity.
Ensure Laboratory Documentation and Computerized Systems compliance with Data Integrity policies and regulatory requirements
Carry out environmental and material microbiological tests as required.
Develop microbiological laboratory procedures.
Define and update procedures for plant relative to microbiological and environmental monitoring.
Establish & Train laboratory staff in operational tests.
Validation of equipment and test methods for purified water.
Test method transfer of microbiological method.
Maintain up-to-date, complete and precise records of all tests performed.
Carry out training as per training plan.
Adheres to and supports all EHS & E standards, procedures and policies.
What you need to apply:
Bachelor’s degree qualification in biology or microbiology. Masters preferable.
Requires a high level of attention to detail and mental concentration, to ensure accuracy and total compliance with procedures and requirements.
Requires innovative thinking, where new and untested solutions are proposed, demonstrated, and implemented on a regular basis.
Requires proven problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to new requirements.
