- Senior Utilities Engineer - Team Horizon
An exciting and challenging Senior Utilities Engineer opportunity now exists in the Engineering Services Team in our Manorhamilton Road site, Sligo. In this role, you will provide engineering leadership for all utilities related opportunities, leading utility improvement projects from front end planning through to project handover while driving energy, sustainability and efficiencies across equipment and energy streams.

What you will bedoing:
Provide leadership engineering support to all Utilities related issues. Tasks include, daily trouble shooting, optimisation, cost reduction, training and coaching of Utilities personnel.
Lead and drive compliance to safety statutory testing and regulatory compliance
Lead and manage the daily performance of Utilities equipment, their energy and chemical usage and ensure adequate energy/chemical reserves
Lead and coordinate the annual site Maintenance shutdown programme across the site, with key responsibility for all Utilities & abatement equipment
Lead Utility Projects from definition through to handover, managing budgets, schedules safety and quality attributes
Act in the capacity to take responsibility and accountability for managing the team, equipment, and areas when delegated. Will engage fully with leading performance for the team metrics and driving the team forward to meet the site annual and strategic goals. Responds to out of hours calls and co-ordinates the team to minimize downtime. Works towards motivating and positively improving the team culture with safety and quality in the forefront of all decisions.
What you need to apply:
A relevant third level Degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Biomedical, Electronics) or related technical discipline with 6 + years’ experience in engineering/utilities engineering.
Relevant experience of Utility engineering roles, project management, and change management.
Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to deliver projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and meeting the predefined quality requirements are required.
