Team Horizon is seeking an Automation Engineer (MES) for a leading pharmaceutical company in North West Dublin.

What you will be doing:
• Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Automation Engineer (MES) role will make an impact:
• Fault-find complex automation equipment and networks.
• Analyse, understand, fault-find and modify software programs written by other developers.
• MES EBR to Manufacturing/Packaging Equipment integration.
• Controller Network, OPC connectivity Planning and Historian Integration.
• LDAP/AD integration for equipment access management.
• Ensure systems development and upgrade following the GAMP 5 and SDLC process.
• Analyse, understand, fault-find and modify software programmes written by other developers as required.
• Preparation and review of design documentation, tender documents and URS/FDS/CS documents as required for the purpose of purchasing new equipment or services.
• Generate, review and approve of all project documentation (Risk Assessment, Scope, Handover, etc.), validation documentation (FAT, IQ-OQ, etc.), trial reports and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Develop end user manuals (SOPs and training aids) and provide training on new equipment/process functionality.
• Perform technical review of updates to SOPs related to the equipment/process.
• Any other duties.
What you need to apply:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or equivalent.
• Proven experience working with Automated Control Systems in a GMP Environment.
• Proven experience working in a validated environment with strong discipline in relation to change controls.
• Proven experience with the integration of SCADA systems with MES.
• Strong analytical skills and creative problem-solving skills.
• Ability to document own work clearly and precisely to company standards.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Ability to understand technical documents and can communicate description of problems and solutions.
