- Team Horizon is seeking an Automation & Controls Engineer for our client in Kildare on an initial 12-month contract.

What you will be doing:
Monitoring and controlling equipment on site.
Ensures that all equipment is in a safe state and maintenance is carried out as safely as possible.
Modelling the controls system and track changes; Troubleshooting the controls system problems, Systematic problem solving, delivering operational efficiency, maintenance, testing and commissioning solutions; driving capital budgets for system upgrades; providing technical leadership to IFM and contractors.
Provide projects and sustaining controls engineering support at our facilities. Act as a System Owner of the sites PLC controls system.
Work Closely with the Sustaining Facilities controls Engineers. Understand and model the operational excellence of the team.
Any other duties as assigned.
What you need to apply:
Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Instrument/Controls Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university with an emphasis on power/utility systems is required.
5+ years’ experience with Allen Bradley Control Logix hardware.
Strong experience with SCADA and PLC controls system.
Ability to act as a system owner of the site’s PLC system.
Ability to work effectively as an individual with minimal direction, and as part of a larger team.
Must have excellent problem-solving skills and demonstrate the application of structured problem-solving methods and tools.
Excellent Knowledge of computer software such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Projects is required.
