Team Horizon is seeking a Automation Engineer (MES) for a leading pharmaceutical company in Dublin
The site will be migrating from its current MES setup of Werum PAS-X to Rockwell system. The ideal candidate has experience with both systems, but if not, definitely with Rockwell.

What you will be doing:
Fault-find complex automation equipment and networks.
Develop, debug and validate control system software programmes.
MES “SCADA Function” and PCS Elements development and EBR integration.
Controller Network Migration, OPC connectivity Planning and Historian Integration.
LDAP/AD integration for access management.
Ensure systems development and upgrade following the GAMP 5 and SDLC process.
Analyse, understand, fault-find and modify software programmes written by other developers as required.
Preparation and review of design documentation, tender documents and URS/FDS/CS documents as required for the purpose of purchasing new equipment or services.
Generate, review and approve of all project documentation (Risk Assessment, Scope, Handover, etc.), validation documentation (FAT, IQ-OQ, etc.), trial reports and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Develop end user manuals (SOPs and training aids) and provide training on new equipment/process functionality.
Perform technical review of updates to SOPs related to the equipment/process.
All other duties as requested or assigned.
What you need to apply:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or equivalent.
3 years’ experience working with Automated Control Systems in a GMP Environment.
2 years’ experience working in a validated environment with strong discipline in relation to change controls.
Experience of Rockwell Automation systems
1 year’s experience with the integration of SCADA systems with MES.
Strong analytical skills and creative problem-solving skills.
Ability to document own work clearly and precisely to company standards.
Good team player.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent organisational skills.
Ability to understand technical documents and can communicate description of problems and solutions.
