- Team Horizon is seeking a Project Engineer (initial 12-month contract) for our client who are a global leader in the biopharmaceutical industry. The Project Engineer will join the client’s site Small Scale Capital Projects Team and will lead assigned projects to completion. The Project Engineer will be responsible for building and implementing the schedule of works (where applicable), tracking budgets, and working with cross functional teams on site to drive project completion. This role will also involve, aspects of Commissioning and Qualification works at times, including authoring/executing documents.

What you will be doing:
Designing and Managing the full project plan lifecyle of the assigned Projects.
Leading the project team to deliver projects ontime and within budget.
Maintain budgetary, scheduling and project database oversight and report regularly to the Snr. Engineering Projects Manager to keep her informed of progress, plans and problems that could potentially impact project costs or schedule
Manage compliance to both the client’s Governance standards and Regulatory requirements
Provide engineering support for all activities in new equiupment/ new product introductions to existing Aseptic and Biologics Manufacturing Equipment
Prepare scheduled and necessary updates of Project activities for the relevant stakeholders
Take the lead in troubleshooting and problem solving issues that may occur throughout the project lifecycle
Work closely with other site functions to ensure a smooth transition between project and operational phases.
Encourage and sustain a high safety culture and performance within Project Team.
Any other duties as assigned.
What you need to apply:
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience working in a technical engineering role in the Pharmaceutical / Biotechnology industry.
Experience of Upstream / Downstream drug substance and Clinical processes would be an advantage.
Experience in pharmaceutical processes is an advantage, particularly with Aseptic Filling (RABs or Isolator technologies) and other supporting equipment (such as Parts Washers/Autoclaves) is also an advantage.
Ability to make informed and timely decisions that consider the facts, goals, constraints, and risks associated.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with vendors and resolve issues in a timely and structured manner.
Experienced in leading and facilitating structured problem-solving approaches to resolve equipment / process issues.
Strong technical capabilities, communication skills, teamwork abilities and initiative.
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements associated with the industry and current Health and Safety Regulations legislation.
Motivated self-starter, with a can-do, pro-active attitude and a proven ability to work well as part of a team.
Degree qualification in pharmaceutical, chemical, or mechanical engineering or related engineering field (preferable).
Previous Project Management and CQV Experience.
Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Systems is an advantage.
