- Team Horizon is seeking a Senior Scientist for our client based in Dublin. Technical ownership of commercially-launched products and new product introductions to the site (spanning from developmental studies and clinical manufacturing up to validation and post-commercialization changes) with a particular focus on the manufacturing process, scale-up, equipment understanding, and statistical evaluations. Thorough hands-on support of bulk manufacturing, driving production performance KPIs, proactively championing new technologies, and leading troubleshooting investigations - all with a high sense of urgency and high level of technical confidence with full GMP compliance.

What you will be doing:
Continuous oversight with a hands-on mentality on product performance, periodic reviews with senior leadership, and timely authorship of product baseline reports
Leading investigations of process deviations with a high sense of urgency to quantify the potential impact on product quality
Authoring and Issuing Batch manufacturing records and technical protocols
Technical support for new product introductions until validation
Tracking and trending of product and process data, statistical evaluation of the data
Actively drive plant performance, with a special focus on cost improvement programs (CIP)
Function as SME in Inspections and Audits
Other duties as required
What you need to apply:
Graduate (with 3-5 years experience) or Ph.D. (with none up to 1 year experience) in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Pharmaceutical Technology, Powder Technology, or other comparable disciplines.
Experience in supervisory roles in a face-paced manufacturing environment is preferable.
Excellent knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing unit operations.
Excellent knowledge of material science of solids and powders highly motivated, agile, and flexible, with a great sense of self-expectations and urgency.
Proactive problem-solving mindset always preparing solutions for the unexpected situations Team player who works collaboratively in lock-step mode with regional and global colleagues.
Excellent written and spoken English language skills, particularly in presenting and authoring technical presentations and reports.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present in global meetings as well as face-to-face with senior leadership.
