Team Horizon is seeking an Operational Excellence Lead for our client based in Sligo, a global, research-based biopharmaceutical company that combines the focus and passion of biotech with the expertise and capability of an established pharmaceutical leader. The Operational Excellence Lead will provide support to all departments, develop new and innovative processes to deliver cost reductions and support our Digital Transformation Strategy.

What you will be doing
Leading an Operational Excellence (OpEx) culture, ensuring that all employees become involved in the OpEx initiative.
Ownership of the sites OpEx strategy.
Support site Digital transformation strategy, driving the OpEx influence on Industry 4.0.
Aptitude for digital solutions to business problems (Data Analytics, Digital Performance Management, etc.)
Ensuring strong communication of the company manufacturing KPIs via monthly network and site meetings.
Conducting OpEx training, guidance and education as needed.
Developing local Subject Matter Experts on OpEx methodology and tools.
Benchmark with other industries who are implementing Business or Operational Excellence.
Co-ordinating with Regional OpEx Manager to ensure alignment with strategy.
Become involved in the global Operational Excellence process for the client and identify synergies and common ground between other Sites.
Maximise the potential of all personnel, by successful career development planning and by encouraging an atmosphere of involvement, open communication and effective teamwork.
Manage team performance, and complete performance reviews.
Communicate the departmental goals, to provide cost effective best in class solutions for the business.
Resolves project/system issues by working with team members, project customers, and others as appropriate.
And any other duties as assigned.
What you need to apply
Third level qualification in Science, Engineering or Business or related disciplines required.
3 years plus of Demonstrated OpEx experience, with demonstrated skills in Innovation, continuous improvement through the use of the latest process excellence tools.
Experience in Lean Six Sigma projects; minimum Green Belt is required.
Strong people leadership with abilities to coach, mentor and develop talents and lead Op Ex strategies on site.
Total combined minimum years of experience required three.
Experience in Digital Transformation Strategy and digital solutions preferred.
