2942 - Project Support Specialist

 

Team Horizon is seeking a Project Support Specialist for our Automotive client based in County Galway.

What you will be doing:



  •  Lead R&D Mechatronic activities associated with improvements, upgrades or cost reductions to current Electronic Control Unit (ECU) programs. These programs are either currently in production or soon to enter production.


  • Liaise with functional managers to understand and compile all risks associated with these product changes.


  • Liaise with functional leads to drive activity timelines and risk mitigation actionsPresent overview of planned activities and risks to Valeo overview committees, peers and management.


  • As the main technical interface between Valeo R&D and the customer, coordinate & communicate changes with customers.


  • Coordinate bill of materials updates and procure associated sign-off / approvals for the relevant team members within the Valeo project team


  • And all other duties assigned.


 

What you need to apply:



  •  Minimum 2 years experience in leading multidisciplinary teams in regulated environments such as automotive, medical devices or other similar environment. 


  • Experience in dealing with customers. 


  • Technical background Mechanical or Hardware. 


  • Experience in planning of projects & use of planning tools such as MS project or similar planning tools. 


  • Knowledge of design validation process validation (PV) programs would be advantageous but not essential.


  • Experience in any or all of Mechanical, Hardware, process validation (PV) / Testing programs would be advantageous but not essential.


  • Knowledge of Engineering Change Requests (ECR), Engineering Change Order (ECO), or similar processes.


  • Experience in working with bills of materials (BOM’s).
