Team Horizon is seeking a Project Support Specialist for our Automotive client based in County Galway.

What you will be doing:
Lead R&D Mechatronic activities associated with improvements, upgrades or cost reductions to current Electronic Control Unit (ECU) programs. These programs are either currently in production or soon to enter production.
Liaise with functional managers to understand and compile all risks associated with these product changes.
Liaise with functional leads to drive activity timelines and risk mitigation actionsPresent overview of planned activities and risks to Valeo overview committees, peers and management.
As the main technical interface between Valeo R&D and the customer, coordinate & communicate changes with customers.
Coordinate bill of materials updates and procure associated sign-off / approvals for the relevant team members within the Valeo project team
And all other duties assigned.
What you need to apply:
Minimum 2 years experience in leading multidisciplinary teams in regulated environments such as automotive, medical devices or other similar environment.
Experience in dealing with customers.
Technical background Mechanical or Hardware.
Experience in planning of projects & use of planning tools such as MS project or similar planning tools.
Knowledge of design validation process validation (PV) programs would be advantageous but not essential.
Experience in any or all of Mechanical, Hardware, process validation (PV) / Testing programs would be advantageous but not essential.
Knowledge of Engineering Change Requests (ECR), Engineering Change Order (ECO), or similar processes.
Experience in working with bills of materials (BOM’s).
