Team Horizon is seeking a Equipment Engineer for a leading manufacturing company in Mayo.

What you will be doing:
Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring of assigned engineering projects.
Cooperating and communicating with the project manager and other project participants and collaborating with senior engineers to create more efficient project methods and to maintain the project's profitability.
Reviewing the engineering tasks and initiating the necessary corrective actions. Developing specifications for the project's needed equipment.
Develop & conduct quality inspections during the construction phase of projects. Ensuring the project's compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications.
To provide Engineering services to the plant, to maximise the availability of all Site Process Equipment and Utilities.
Understand the impact of the various materials/components on the lines and the limitations on equipment performance. Work to implement solutions.
Review component drawings and understand equipment performance to ensure that both are aligned for maximum outputs with minimal waste.
Experience with warehouse equipment
Conveyors, cranes , Robot picking
Warehouse management systems
Print & apply labelling systems
Managing capital projects
Process improvement
Experience with PLCs & Scada
Preventative maintenance systems
All other duties as requested or assigned
What you need to apply:
Third level qualification in Engineering or equivalent in the areas of Process, Chemical, Mechanical or Production Engineering.
Project Management training desirable.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Manufacturing and Engineering, including planning, design, installation and commissioning in a GMP Environment.
Experience in Requirements Analysis, Design Skills, Project Management, Process Improvement, Technical Understanding, Documentation Skills, Risk Management.
Must have excellent computer skills with Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project, AutoCad, Solid Works Excellent Communication skills.
Previous experience and understanding of high speed packaging line.
