- Team Horizon is seeking a HR Business Partner for our client who are global biopharmaceutical leader, for their diverse team in Cork. In this role you will work proactively to support Site HR objectives while providing Specialist HR support to employees and managers, ensuring adherence to company procedures and legislative requirements as well as leading HR projects and initiatives in order to achieve a motivated and empowered workforce and to support business growth.

What you will be doing:
Point of contact for Human Resource Queries for employees and managers.
Responsible for sensing the ER climate on the site and highlighting any problems which may exit and ensuring appropriate management attention to ensure a successful outcome.
Responsible for ensuring communications are carried out in line with company policy.
Manage routine ER issues including grievances and disciplinaries fairly and effectively in line with procedure.
Support management with any restructuring, process-change or change management initiatives.
Coordinate the headcount budget with managers.
Ensure new starters, including managers, are educated in full on the HR policies and procedures.
Ensure best practices in the area of performance management and ensure that all People Managers deliver performance appraisals in full and in a timely manner.
Provide expertise on the performance management process and system for relevant departments.
Ensure a consistent approach to absence management by providing people managers with information, advice and support to maintain satisfactory absence levels and ensure adherence to procedure.
To ensure the site Training Policy addresses both the needs of the business and individual employee developmental needs.
Ownership for the development of the annual plant-wide training needs analysis (Training Plan).
To ensure that all training delivered is cost-effective, within budget and tailored to the needs of the business.
Co-ordinate and manage ad hoc development needs for individuals and teams.
Shared responsibility with HR to ensure all new hires undergo induction.
Partake and ensure success for T&D function during all site audits (internal & external).
Coordinate with departments to recommend, price negotiations and selection of external training partners. Ensure compliance to the training budget.
Work with individuals to ensure training Files, Training Evaluations, Certifications etc are being maintained.
Performance and Continuous Improvement.
Responsible as a member of the HR Team to proactively develop and implement and /or support any relevant projects that will deliver to the site objective while ensuring Company policies and procedures are adhered to where appropriate.
Assess opportunities for the improvement of the business including the management of change, implementation of best practices and serve as an organizational support in assisting departments in making improvements.
Develop HR policies and procedures as required.
Work to internal & external audit-ready guidelines.
Own and lead Site initiatives, for example, learning & development, Values & Mission, performance management, and communications, that will deliver to the HR strategy and the Site Business.
Objectives
Ensure salary and benefits are maintained within the Company grade structure for the site thus leading to consistency across the business.
Coordination of the salary budget process with Managers.
Work with employees and management to manage the ill-health process.
Manage the Death-in-Service process.
Manage the merit increase & bonus payment processes.
Benchmark and participate in relevant market surveys.
What you need to apply:
Degree or Equivalent Qualification in Business or HR Management. CIPD Qualified desirable.
A minimum of three to five years HR Experience.
