Description


Team Horizon is seeking a System Validation Test Engineer (12-month contract) to work on our client’s automotive manufacturing site in Galway. Our client’s mission is to World Leader for Automated Parking Systems within the automotive industry by developing innovative systems and providing situational awareness solutions using cutting edge technology.

What you will be doing:




  • Design and Implement the functional test benches to test automotive systems on different product


  • configurations.


  • Create test specifications to cover all system requirements, providing linkage in DOORS, review reports and


  • ensure approval before the start of each software sprint.


  • Provide continuous improvement of test specification to cover new issues, new requirements and new corner cases seen at later stages while testing.


  • Develop test environments for the validation of automotive grade mechatronic systems, ADAS ECUs,


  • Computer Vision Cameras and software packages for viewing features and autonomous driving functions.


  • Create simulated scenarios to test computer vision algorithms and end user functions.


  • Execute Vehicle Testing for the system integration, functional behaviour and feature performance.


  • Handle the full execution of the assigned systems test plans for each phase including monitoring,


  • controlling progress, collation of test logs, evaluation and reporting of all systems test results.


  • Bug reporting, including trace analysis, test conditions information, support development team in bug


  • analysis.


  • Communicate with requirements engineers, functions owners on-site and off-side for clarification of


  • requirements and issues.


  • Automate system test cases using platform automated tools.


  • Implement stress tests to demonstrate stability and robustness of the system.


  • Highlight areas for improvements to increase robustness and level of automation of the test system.


  • Communicate with customer teams from time to time on issues found, workshops and joint testing events.


  • Assist where needed with tools development teams on selection of equipment suppliers and the


  • development of test solutions.


  • Participate in technology, supplier and test tool selection for new projects.


  • Participation in Customer and client workshops were required. Travel may be requested.


  • Ensure SPICE compliance by applying internal development processes.


  • And any other duties as assigned.



 

What you need to apply:




  • A relevant Technical Engineering Degree e.g. Computer Science, Physics, Electronic Eng. or equivalent


  • and applicable.


  • System test engineering experience, with a minimum of 2 years experience in a multifunctional


  • environment.


  • Executed projects in Automotive Domain.


  • Knowledge of ISO26262/ISO15504/SPICE.


  • ISTQB Certification an advantage


  • LabView Certification an advantage


  • Professional Experience


  • Ability to work from specifications to product realisation and testing.


  • Ability to debug System issues/bugs and report accurately internally and to the customer if needed.


  • Compile / Analyse / Generate test reports.


  • Previous knowledge in building test automation solutions.


  • Develop and maintain good professional working relationships, within the test team, other internal


  • departments (Software, Hardware, Mechanical, Project Management) and the Customer.


  • Develop test environments for new applications


  • Innovation and development of alternative test solutions to existing applications


  • Innovation with regards to test case development ito ensure maximum test coverage an minimising


  • release risk
