- EMC Technician – Team Horizon
We at Team Horizon are currently sourcing to hire an EMC Test Technician to work on our client’s manufacturing facility in the west of Ireland.
The EMC technician will be in charge of performing EMC tests on several product lines:
analysing the EMC test plan to setup the test and apply the relevant parameters,
perform the EMC tests and analyse the results after each sweep,
Also, he/she would have to understand and respect our clients’ Quality Management System and be an active member of continuous improvement.

What you will be doing:
Highlight of main responsibilities -
Technical responsibilities
Verify that the samples and all additional equipment are compliant to the request
Ensure the quality of the tests performed and the correct analysis
Write the final reports and verify reports from other members to formalize the conformity judgement.
Customer interface
Communicate daily the results of tests performed Quality and analysis to project team
Respect the processes defined to be compliant to ISO17025 accreditation
Declare any process malfunction with the QRQC tool, and put in place the right corrections
Participate actively to continuous improvement, taking in charge improvement projects linked to testing process, equipment, 5S, etc...
Activity follow up and Reporting
Respect the objective defined for the setup time
Insure the delivery of reports in time, at the good quality level
Report the good practices to be deployed within the Service Line
And any other duties as assigned.
What you need to apply:
Background in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics/Test Instrumentation.
Desirable Experience:
Academic experience is acceptable but preferred hands-on
At least 2 years in EMC testing, EMC theoretical knowledge or design
Junior technician can be accepted if he/she shows good mindset/motivation
