Team Horizon is seeking a Production Planner and Control Analyst for our client based in Mayo. In this role, you will be responsible for producing a Production Plan in agreement with Line Management which maximizes available capacity to meet customer needs and inventory targets and also closely monitor the execution of that plan. Communicate in a timely manner the progress of the plan, and in particular changes that may impact the customer's requested shipment dates.

What you will be doing:



  • Ensure that all planning activities of the Business Unit are performed in accordance with GMP, and relevant SOPs.


  • Apex support – you will Lead the Customer Focus day at Tier 3 with up to date metrics

    You will maintain the Customer Order Priority list for Product Release in conjunction with Lab release dates. 


  • We believe in collaboration so in this role, you will represent the “Voice of the Customer” at the Business Unit ensuring that the focus is maintained on meeting the requested ship dates.


  • Issue a filling and packing schedule to the floor in a timely manner to meet the Customer requirements


  • As part of this diverse and inclusive team you will monitor and review the execution of the Schedule making decisions around changes should they be required.


  • Fostering an environment of continuous improvement, you will develop a resource planning tool and annual capacity plan to ensure head count meets scheduled demand.


  • Create, monitor and maintain a feasible 24 month end-to-end volume (replenishment/production) and inventory plan for all assigned product families that conform to business strategies, financial and throughput plans, capacity constraints and the target inventory profiles to support monthly sales and operations planning process and PLAN/LBE process.


  • Act as partner for the Brand Leader and other brand team members to determine the impact of projects and strategic decisions on volumes and inventory.


  • Leverage the global planning system, and monitor and maintain planning parameters and data to ensure AbbVie manufacturing sites and affiliates have reliable data to look at and output from the system can be used for third party manufacturers and customers.


  • Participate in or initiate the periodic S&OP process.


  • Participate in the discussions and execution around Life Cycle Management.


  • Daily contact with one or multiple (internal/external) supplying plants to coordinate the supply of pharmaceutical finished product, bulk, active pharmaceutical ingredient or supporting materials.


  • Drive continuous improvements and participate in continuous improvement initiatives led by colleagues.


  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, within the organization, manufacturing plants, Third party suppliers and cross-functional personnel.


  • Participate in cross functional projects as Subject Matter Expert for supply chain planning 


 

What you need to apply:



  • Degree plus 1 year’s industry experience or Leaving Certificate plus 5 years in the education/experience area 


  • 2-3 years experience of Planning in a high-volume manufacturing environment would be an advantage.


  • IPICS or similar qualification is desired.  


  • Good working knowledge of SAP applications in areas of MRP/MPS.
