Senior Accountant – Team Horizon

 

If you are a result driven qualified accountant our client has an exciting contract position available to join a dynamic team in Westport, Co. Mayo. In your new role, you will lead a business unit and help leaders on financial matters, from strategy right through to process improvement. You will have the chance to plan, control, deliver, analysis, and report the financial affairs to drive forward business growth.

What you will bedoing:



  • Leading and acting as point of contact for one of the business units.


  • Providing financial support and guidance on all applicable issues


  • Managing the month-end close activities from order reconciliations through to variance analysis etc.


  • Planning and analysis, including annual and monthly plans


  • Monitoring, reviewing and reporting all key financial metrics.


  • Reporting on operations performance in accordance with KPIs


  • Managing the team


  • Influencing and supporting cross-functional departments.


  • Fulfilling with SOX and internal control guidelines.


  • Carrying out monthly balance sheet reconciliations through Blackline


  • Driving process improvement initiatives to deliver on business objectives


  • Delivering full compliance with all regulatory requirements, including the support of external and internal audits.


  • Leading variance analysis on a monthly basis to enable corrective action to be taken


  • Collaborating and maintaining stakeholder relationships with cross-functional departments


 

What you need to apply:



  • Qualified Accountant


  • Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting is crucial.


  • People management/supervision experience is essential.


  • Experience within a global manufacturing environment or multinational.


  • SAP and Blackline experience is ideal.


  • Experience working with auditors.


  • Skilled at forecasting, planning and cost accounting.


  • Results-driven attitude, focused on achieving all targets.
