Team Horizon is seeking a Technical Project Manager for a leading manufacturing company based in Galway.

The Technical Project Manager will lead the Research and Development Mechatronic programs.

What you will be doing:



  • Lead R&D Mechatronic activities associated with improvements, upgrades or cost reductions to current Electronic Control Unit (ECU) programs. These programs are either currently in production or soon to enter production.


  • Liaise with functional managers to understand and compile all risks associated with these product changes.


  • Liaise with functional leads to drive activity timelines and risk mitigation actions


  • Present overview of planned activities and risks to clients overview committees, peers and management.


  • As the main technical interface between the clients R&D and the customer, coordinate & communicate changes with customers.


  • Coordinate bill of materials updates and procure associated sign-off / approvals for the relevant members within the project team.


  • And any additional duties.





What you need to apply:



  • Minimum 2 years experience in leading multidisciplinary teams in regulated environments such as automotive, medical devices or other similar environment.


  • Experience in dealing with customers.


  • Ability to create presentations and present to management or customers.


  • Technical background in Hardware / Electronics.


  • Experience in project / task planning & use of planning tools such as MS project or similar planning tools.


  • Knowledge of design validation or testing programs would be advantageous but not essential.


  • Experience in any or all of Mechanical, Hardware, Testing programs would be advantageous but not essential
