Description

Team Horizon is seeking a Contract Project Engineer for a global manufacturing client in Mayo. This position will support business growth and will execute projects and sustaining developments initially on a 12-month contract.

What you will be doing:



  • Project coordination and execution of assigned projects including project prioritization, resources management, status management and external communication.

  • Troubleshoot daily shift production issues and Continuous Improvement with cross functional teams, across engineer, quality and safety.

  • Working with various stakeholders, to scope projects and ensure requirements are satisfied. 

  • Development and management of change controls.

  • Development of detailed specifications, engineering documents, protocols and standard operating procedures.

  • Perform detailed, technical breakdown analysis of improvements (losses / inefficiencies) and provide data to senior management, when required.

  • Execute continuous Improvement Initiatives in order to address gaps in throughput, quality, safety and environmental metrics.

  • Perform all tasks with due care and attention ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and company requirements, policies and procedures.

  • Support a safe working environment by complying with environmental health/safety practice, rules and regulations.

  • Strong knowledge in engineering prinicples.

  • Any other duties as assigned.


 
What you need to apply:



  • 3-5+ years of experience in project engineering ideally within a manufacturing environment.

  • Third level engineering degree would be preferred.

  • Mechanical/Electrical qualifications will be considered.

  • GMP experience is preferred.

  • Ability to understand and willingness to follow corporate policies and procedures for Capital Project Management.

  • Project management training is desirable.

  • Technical understanding, documentation skills, risk management.

  • Must have excellent computer skills with Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project.

  • AutoCad/Solid Works is desirable, but not essential.

  • Excellent Communication skills.
