Team Horizon is seeking a Lab Systems Engineer for our client in Sligo. As a Lab Systems Engineer, you will provide day to day IT systems support, maintenance, and technical solutions/guidance for all laboratory software systems at the manufacturing site

What you will be doing:- Support and maintenance of all IT aspects of Laboratory computer systems, applications and servers.
Respond to IT issues and troubleshoot IT issues associated with instrument servers/workstations/networks. - Perform hardware and software changes and upgrades as led by the Lab services department in conjunction with the computer system validation and software QA teams.
- Perform ongoing IT maintenance such as system monitoring, alarm/event analysis, user setup, security policy updates, software back-up and restore.
- Cross-qualify and take backup responsibility within the team for manufacturing IT scope.
- Ensure that all IT aspects of Lab systems are kept in a compliant state, and that all maintenance and system enhancement activities are carried out in a compliant manner in accordance with AbbVie policies and procedures.
- Document all incidents, support issues and changes using the SNOW tools.
- Implement instrument system projects, upgrades and general updates as defined by user requirements from the Lab Services and QA departments.
- Develop/Modify/Update SOPs/Work Instructions and Business Process and data flows for each system, and its interfaces.
- Collaborate with vendors to resolve technical IT software and hardware problems as required.
- Support IT technical Qualification and Validation activities as led by the Lab Services department and in conjunction with the computer systems validation and software QA teams.
- Ensure Laboratory Computerized Systems compliance with Data Integrity policies and regulatory requirements.
- Acting as key point of contact for internal and external customers to lead projects through to completion.
What you need to apply:- Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline
- At least 3 years’ experience providing hands-on IT systems support, ideally within in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries Experience of working with Windows Operating systems, Active Directory, Anti-Virus, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, networking protocols, and databases.
- Ability to work independently with minimum direct supervision.
- Experience of Pharmaceutical Industry Regulations cGMP/cGLP, 21 CFR 11 and EU Annex 11 compliance requirements.
- Experience working with all disciplines in and supporting a Laboratory environment including QA, CSV, QC, Lab Analysts
