Description
Team Horizon is seeking a Electrical Engineering Project Manager (12-month contract) for our manufacturing client for their facility in Mayo. The role will join the Facility Management team and will be based fully onsite with occasional travel involved depending on project requirements. The role will focus on managing a Heat Pump, PV Farm and Battery installation at the site from design, procurement through to installation, and commissioning.

What you will be doing:


  • Working with Design Company in the preparation of sizing, tenders’ preparation and RFQ’s.


  • Coordinate Planning Application with Local Authority.


  • Liaison with potential vendors and associated site visits.


  • Manage all RFI and associated queries.


  • Selection of preferred vendor.


  • Manage the day-to-day installation and commissioning of the PV, Battery, and Heat Pump install.


  • Any other duties as assigned.


 

What you need to apply:


  • Knowledge, Skills AND Abilities: Knowledge in electrical construction practices.


  • Strong knowledge in of energy related projects, PV, Heat Pumps and Battery installations.


  • Good knowledge of the roles of PSDP & PSCS.


  • High competency in Microsoft Office Suite of products.


  • Project scheduling skills with experience in Microsoft Project including schedule development and maintenance desirable.


  • Ability to understand and willingness to follow corporate policies and procedures for Capital Project Management.


  • Bachelor's degree in an Electrical engineering discipline.


  • Project Management training desirable.


  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in large scale energy and electrical projects.


  • Analysis, Design Skills, Project Management, Knowledge of Construction Methods and Materials, Process Improvement, Technical Understanding, Documentation Skills, Risk Management, CAD/CAM.


  • Must have excellent computer skills with Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project, AutoCAD, Solid Works.


  • Excellent Communication skills.
