Field Service Engineer – Team Horizon

 

Are you a qualified maintenance engineer with brilliant customer service skills looking for an interesting career change? Our client may have the perfect opportunity for you. Some roles have opened up for field service engineers, as part of the aftersales department. These roles are based in Dublin and Cork. When successful you will represent the company to customers, find, diagnose and rectify faults, and order the necessary spare parts. You will also manage routine services and inspection of the fleet and help the back office preserving correct planning master data.

What you will be doing:




  • Communicating with external and internal customers in a professional and competent manner to drive business success


  • Finding, diagnosing and fixing faults and sourcing parts as deemed necessary


  • Complying with all site, company H&S, environmental policies and procedures, Engineering Standards and Safe Working Practices


  • Making sure time sheet data is accurate.


  • Maintaining the ERP system with daily updates


  • Keeping suitable vehicle stock and equipment levels and PPE to guarantee maximum productivity.


  • Obtaining parts and process order numbers authorisations with the first line of management


  • Work under own initiative without constant direction


  • Performing all allocated work and notifying the team leader of any arrears


  • Ensuring that stock levels/movement records are accurate and correct


  • Obtaining hour meter readings /site information as requested by relevant department.


  • Guaranteeing that all company issued equipment is kept in an acceptable condition


  • Any other duties which arise as a result of the above



What you need to apply:




  • Qualified maintenance engineer (NVQ level 3/ equivalent) in relevant discipline or industry experience.


  • Brilliant customer service skills


  • Excellent communication skills - telephone and email.


  • Flawless attention to detail


  • IT Skills (Microsoft Office suite)


  • Ability to maintain and achieve monthly targets and goals


  • Spirited, motivated and pro-active team player
