- 2557 - Mechanical Utilities Engineer
Team Horizon is seeking a Mechanical Utilities Engineer toprovide engineering technical support covering minor and major projects for our client in the Cork area.
What you will be doing:
Define Cork University Hospital site mechanical requirements and future expansion requirements
Ensure all mechanical work activities are carried out in accordance with client standards and to the highest HTM , HBN and quality / safety standards.
Troubleshoot and provide solutions to resolve ongoing utilities system performance issues.
Gain a full understanding of the core utilities interdependencies and the criticality to all critical and Hospital systems on site
Work with site maintenance personnel to optimise the current alarm and event management strategy for site utilities systems.
Take responsibility for all aspects of reliability projects on utilities.
Ensure all capacity projects are executed in line with site engineering standards and practices.
Ensure capacity engineering for project expansion in liaison with Project Manager and Consultant Engineers
What you need to apply:
Minimum qualification Bsc ( Hons) Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
A good knowledge of site utilities systems including AHU’s ( inc Duct Works Distribution) , water systems ( Inc RO) , pipe medical gases , lifts , BMS and fire systems.
Excellent excel data manipulation and interpretation skills are essential to this role.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-working skills.
An ability to work independently and as a member of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced Heath Care environment
