Manufacturing Engineer – Team Horizon

 

Team Horizon currently has an exciting opening for a Manufacturing Engineer to work on our client’s manufacturing facility. You will manage the execution of projects within the engineering group.

Carry out and implement equipment and process improvement initiatives and ensure continual compliance with the policies relating to Personnel, Quality, Engineering, Safety and Finance. 

Support the Engineering team with the emphasis on continual operational improvements and employee equipment training and development. Support the engineering teams in controlling uptime of equipment and optimizing efficiencies as required.

What you will bedoing:



  • Manage projects within the Assembly Engineering Department including globally assigned projects in Engineering & Operations department, ensuring all projects are initiated, planned, executed, monitored and controlled and that projects are closed on completion.


  • Establish project risks, communicate risk to key stake holders in timely manner and implement strategies to manage risk.


  • Assist with the management and supporting of manufacturing equipment development.


  • Monitor production performance and identify process improvement opportunities as required.


  • Electro-Mechanical troubleshooting as required


  • Validation of new processes and development of technical documentation


  • Preparation of capital expenditure requests


  • Sourcing of new equipment


  • Equipment vendor liaison


  • Equipment technical transfer from other locations


  • Management of capital projects from inception to completion


  • Management of relevant budgets within target.


  • Supervise external contractors.


  • Negotiate cost / quality effective external contracts.


  • Developing new processes and completion of validations


 

Experience Required:



  • 2 years plus of Experience as a Manufacturing Engineer.


  • Required to undertake specific investigations, and equipment monitoring, with the view to improve manufacturing performance e.g., reducing equipment downtime and maximizing output and yield. 


  • It may be necessary to re-design elements of manufacturing equipment to adapt to process conditions in order to improve efficiency.


  • This role is accountable for supporting a positive developmental culture with the


organization while ensuring compliance with Quality policies
